carbohydrate sensitivity

Sugar sensitivity is a term I coined to describe those persons who appear to have a dysfunction in three separate but connected biological systems which affect emotions and behavior. These dysfunctions include a disturbance in metabolism , lowered serotonin functioning and a beta-endorphin level which results in an exaggerated response to beta-endorphin producing exogenous substances. The consequences of these separate disturbances are both physiological and psychological.
