I’m babysitting my two grandsons for 4 weeks this summer. Week #2 has just ended and I find myself eating breakfast, snacks and lunch when they do. This has made a difference for me. They eat healthy and so do I. Hopefully I can keep this tempo when the job is over.

I arrived at the airport at around 0700, then called AMG, who was with her boyfriend over in Terminal B, since he was flying out on AA that same day. Finally, AMG came over to Terminal C and we checked in at the F/*G counter. There was nobody else in line at the time. I had previously requested upgrades using e500 s for the domestic flight but they had not cleared.

The CSR gave us DM cards with our BP s. She said she was not optimistic about the UG s clearing. My bag was checked with a priority tag. AMG is a Canadian citizen here in America on a long-term work permit, but not an H1B visa. The CSR asked if she needed to collect the I-94 stub stamped ’multiple entry’ from AMG s passport, but AMG vehemently explained that the stub was her visa and the CSR shouldn t touch it..

Tags: online free counter carbohydrate

Nutrition is one of the most important and most often overlooked parts of taking care of your body, whether you are seeking to gain muscle mass or lose fat. Without a proper diet, you will not see results and your body s systems will not function to the best of their ability. The basic rule of weight management is that of caloric excesses and deficits.

If you consume more than is needed to maintain your current physique, you have a caloric excess. This will translate into fat, or, if you are training correctly, muscle mass, under anabolic (muscle-building) conditions. If you consume less than is needed, or burn part of that, your body will compensate from your reserves of fat, and sometimes muscle if you have trained incorrectly, when your body will enter a catabolic (muscle breakdown) state..

Tags: carbohydrate breakdown

ANSWER : You are either metabolically resistant to weight loss or else you don’t know all sources of the carbohydrates you may be eating. If you are losing weight and doing well, there is no need to do anything differently. If you are not doing well losing weight, you may need additional help by adding the Dieters’ Advantage (2 pills, three times daily), or FMF#24 (2 pills, three times daily) or L-Carnitine . You may also need to increase exercise from three times per week, to four or five times per week.

Tags: information good carbohydrates about

For years I have had to struggle with about 20-30 lbs of extra fat , that wouldn’t budge. And at the time was trying to conceive , and having a hard time with it , about 2 months into eliminating the carbs I got pregnant . I had lost about 8 lbs or so effortlessly and felt really good. .. I continued on a quickcarb restrictive diet ( lots of meat fish and fats, veggies, nuts , low glycemic fruit , no sugar, water only , I would occasionally have a little wild rice or legumes in small amounts ) I was not continuing the diet for weight loss but rather because it seemed to have just about eliminated an anxiety problem I have , and also some symptoms of shortness of breath , heart palps etc.

To me it was a life style change, not a weightloss plan . So my baby is 9 months old now , and I have been breastfeeding her . I have gotten stricter about limiting carbs since she was about 4months old and have now lost 25 lbs , and am almost at my goal . It has come off effortlessly and I feel GREAT ! My question ( and my worry) is do you think its just from the nursing .

Tags: weightloss fruits for

I tryed the adkins diet. I have 6-8 meals a day. My diet consist of lean chicken breast, egg whites, vegitables(lots), 3-5 fruits, fish, lean ham, whole wheat bread, soy milk, and regular oatmeal. And that just made me really tired, fatige, and still unhappy with my body. As far as me eating goes, on a workout day my calories from 2500 to 3000 and on an off/rest day they range from 1600-2000.

Five years ago i weighed 245 lbs. I am 48 years old, 5’8. I became interested in eating right and exercising so i educated myself and learned how to do it right. I even limited my calories to under a thousand a day. I hated how my body looked so i wanted to change it. I have accomplished losing weight, i am down to less than 10% body fat(caliper reads on 5-6), and i have 155+ lean mass.

I have also accomplished feeling great about myself and my body and having sky high confidence. I have been going every week since then for 12-15 hours per week. I started going to the gym around late September 2004. I was on 3 high blood pressure medications and the doctor wanted to put me on chlorestarol medication.

Tags: meal diet adkins

I’ve done great with atkins. Did you look back through the book to see if there was anything you may have forgot had carbs?? Don’t forget, 15-20 on the induction. You may want to get the keatone(sp) test strips to check if you are in keatosis(sp) When I tried to jump start again with the induction it was not such a great loss like the first time I did it.

In fact I did get discouraged and tried doing South Beach, but with fewer carbs then SB allows. You might want to give that a try. Your body may have gotten used to the lower amout of carbs, and makes it harder to switch into keatosis Keep up the good work, don’t stop trying!!! Just think of Dorie and Nemo "keep swimming, keep swimming" , well, you get the point..

Tags: fourteen diet day atkins

On our cruise last November, I was still functioning under South Beach. I found that you could eat rather well at the dinners, etc with minimal carbs. They have great vegetarian and "diet" alternatives on the menus. I also learned to do a new thing .. .not feel like I had to eat EVERYTHING on my plate. That was really refreshing. I got to taste things that I enjoyed without over indulging. Mind you, I still had a few ice cream cones, but this was vacation . . .LOL. Besides, one of the points of South Beach is to be able to fall off the wagon on occasion and get back on it.

Tags: low food diet carb

Before you slump on the couch in despair, help could be at hand. Researchers studying how muscles build up and break down believe they are close to creating a drug to stop the body dismantling muscle when we stop using it. Their aim is to tackle weakness in the sick and elderly, and to help make long space flights feasible for humans. However, such a drug should also make staying in shape that bit easier - a boon for couch potatoes and, of course, would-be sports cheats.

Tags: with protein problems high diet a

When making Rocky III, Sly would begin the day with a two mile jog, then go straight into 18 rounds of sparring, 2 hours of weightlifting and jumping rope. After all this, he would take a nap in the afternoon, then go running again! He would finish the day with a swim. On this film he made himself even leaner and smaller to enhance the David & Goliath imagery.

To get this effect Stallone dropped his body weight to a mere 155 lbs, with a diet of 10 eggwhites and a burnt piece of toast once a day, and a piece of fruit every third day. Although this diet left him weak and dizzy, he then built his muscle mass up ounce by ounce until he was up to about 175..

Tags: information healthy eating diet

While articles in corporate media tout fish as brain food, the high mercury levels in fish cause memory and mental function loss. “Symptoms of amnesic shellfish poisoning include possible permanent short-term memory loss. (Rachel Carson’s The Silent Spring dealt with among other things the massive loss of bird and fish life from DDT.

Fish is the antibrain food as fruitarian and vegetarian geniuses DaVinci, Einstein, Ramanujan, Mary Shelley and others can attest. Arsenic poisoning (arsenic from the oceans is concentrated in the flesh of fishes) creates lesions and warts on the hands. Linus Pauling, only person to win a Nobel Prize both for peace and his discovery of 6 elements, has written that an orthmolecule is a fruit molecule.

Radioactive waste dumped directly into the ocean by some nuclear nations concentrates poisons in fish as well. There is no vitamin C (speeds flow of nerve signals across synapses) in fish or animal flesh or in animal products. They are the most similar to the neural transmitters in the brain. Toxins in fish include selenium, chromium, lead, arsenic, pcb’s, pbb’s, pvc’s, cadmium, radioactive strontium, fire retardant, and every other nonbiodegradable toxin which is 100 to 1000 times more concentrated in the flesh of fish than in the water.

Tags: weight vegetarian loss free diet

My plan is to get up at 6:00 each morning - normally being a night owl, I will be getting up at six every single day, weekend, holiday, and no-gym day and varying my bedtime each night to tailor it to when I’m tired and only when I’m tired. No weights until a significant amount of weight is lost.

Tags: weight lose how fast diet atkins

I have a pretty good diet sorted so far, (about to start bulking for the first time and i have taken ideas from many threads) but i am stuck when it comes to a pre workout meal. I’m not sure what is required for a good pre workout meal e.g. if i need high carbohydrates or low carbs etc etc. Even if you guys just post what you consume before a workout it will be a great help.

Tags: diets carbohydrate
